(v12.0.8874.35714 started 2024-04-18 18:00:37 on VM2)

FTP Support:
GatewortPort must be 21 (for FTP command channel), supports active and passive mode
Gateway patches ports for data connections (PORT command in active mode, response to PASV command in passive mode)
FTP ... active mode, gateway listens on ports 7168 to 7187 for server data connections
Caution: Some ftp servers have problems, when the ports are reused rather frequently.
- FTP is not available for forward entries.
PASV ... passive mode, gateway listens on ports 6912 to 6921 for client data connections
PASV is available for forward entries also:
- In that case in the type field a connect string must be specified (e.g. CONNECT:n.n.n.n:*) and the remote rule must have type PRX.
- Be aware of remote proxy filters!
Remark: If there are CONNECT keywords in the rule, the rightmost will be modified.
If you need an FTP client that supports passive mode:
Visit e.g. the FileZilla Homepage.
In case of problems limit the number of concurrent file transfer streams to 1.
