Syslog client

ApplicGate can be configured to send certain log messages via Syslog (format according to RFC 5424) to a Syslog server.
- UDP and TCP (with or without encryption) are supported.
- Any number of Syslog servers can be configured as targets.
- A Syslog client is configured via a SYSLOG group (special group where the name starts wit "L_").
- To create a new SYSLOG group click Configuration New SYSLOG Group.

To monitor the Syslog clients see Syslog in Tools.

A SYSLOG group contains following keywords:
- SYSLOG_SERVER:host:port ... Address of Syslog server
- PROTOCOL:TCP or UDP ... selected protocol
- TLS ... session encryption with TLS (only for TCP)
- SERVERCHECK ... check of server certificate: trust, life time and name. CRL will not be checked. (only when TLS is selected)
- USERCERT:certificate ... user certificate for syntax see certificate loading. (only when TLS is selected)
- RETRY:seconds ... number of seconds to retry sending after an error has ocurred.
- MAXQUEUE:queuelength ... Maximum number of messages in send queue. If the maximum number has bee reached the oldest mesage will be deleted.
Group expiration is supported.

Remark: ApplicGate can be configured as simple Syslog server using the echo function, e.g.:
- GatewayIP2: echo
- Type field for UDP: NOECHO, LGD:NoHead, UDP
- Type field for TCP: NOECHO, LGD:NoHead, SSL (optional), CCR (optional)
